PRIVACY

Privacy notice.

How personal data is handled when you visit me2anda.eu or contact its operator. Last updated: 8 November 2026.

Controller and contact

The controller of this website is Nejc Stopnišek, acting personally, in Slovenia. For privacy questions or requests, email nejc.stopnisek@kis.si. Institutional affiliations displayed elsewhere on the website describe research affiliations; they do not change the operator of this website.

Website delivery and security

When your browser requests a page or image, technical data such as your IP address, request time, requested address, response status, browser information and, where provided, referring page may be processed by the hosting and content-delivery services. The purpose is to deliver the website, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure research website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and tracking

This website does not implement advertising, visitor analytics, tracking cookies, contact forms or embedded social-media players. Fonts and application scripts are served from the website. Ordinary links to other websites do not embed their services; their privacy practices apply when you follow those links. Google Search Console is used by the operator to review search visibility; no Google Analytics or Search Console tracking script is installed on visitor pages.

Hosting and content delivery

The website is hosted by HITROST.COM d.o.o. in Slovenia. Published content and images are managed using Sanity; some images and attachments are delivered directly from cdn.sanity.io, so your browser communicates with that service. Authorised technical maintainers may access information needed to operate the website. Personal data is not sold or used by ME2andA for advertising. Sanity uses international infrastructure and subprocessors; where processing involves transfers outside the EEA, its data-processing terms describe the applicable transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required. Information about these services is available at https://www.hitrost.com/pogodbeni-obdelovalec-gdpr/, https://www.sanity.io/legal/privacy and https://www.sanity.io/legal/dpa. You can request further information about recipients and safeguards using the contact above.

Email enquiries

Email links open your email application. If you write to the contact address, your name, email address, message and any attachments are processed to answer your enquiry and arrange relevant follow-up. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in responding to correspondence; Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies where processing is necessary for steps you request before a contract. Providing information is voluntary, although an enquiry cannot be answered without the information needed to respond. Institutional research or recruitment enquiries may subsequently be handled by the relevant institution under its own procedures and privacy information. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Retention

Technical request data is retained for the period needed for service delivery, fault diagnosis and security, taking account of the hosting and content-delivery providers’ operational retention rules and whether a specific incident still requires investigation. Correspondence is kept while an enquiry and its necessary follow-up remain active, and thereafter only where needed to meet an applicable record-keeping obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Records are reviewed when their purpose ends; information no longer needed is deleted. Public research profiles and publication records remain available while relevant to the website and are corrected or removed when appropriate. Contact the controller for information about the retention applicable to your particular data.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of processing, and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests can be sent to nejc.stopnisek@kis.si. You may also lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), https://www.ip-rs.si/. No automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects is carried out through this website.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated if the website’s services or processing practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
