INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS
Microbiome research
collaborations.
Based in Slovenia, we welcome international collaborators working on soil microbiomes, plant microbiomes, soil health and One Health. We are interested in connecting our samples, data and experimental systems with complementary expertise—and developing the next proposal together.
Connect resources
with new questions.
Our research brings together agricultural soils, plant-associated microbiomes, long-term field experiments and microbiome datasets. We welcome discussions about joint analyses, comparative studies, coordinated sampling and experiments that connect microbial diversity with function.
Potential contributions include project-specific soil and plant samples, associated environmental and management information, amplicon and metagenomic data, microbial cultivation and bioinformatics. Availability and access are agreed for each collaboration.
Explore our experimental systemsBuild the next
consortium together.
We welcome partners for WEAVE, Horizon Europe, bilateral calls and other collaborative research programmes. Our interests span soil and plant microbiome ecology, microbiome-mediated plant breeding, crop resilience, carbon farming, soil health and environmental antimicrobial resistance.
We are interested in both contributing to international consortia and developing new project ideas with partners. Bring a scientific question, a complementary method or a field system that could make the research stronger.
To start a proposal discussion, tell us about the research idea, your expertise, the target call and the anticipated deadline.
Follow the connections
across environments.
We welcome One Health research collaborations connecting agricultural management, environmental microbiomes and antimicrobial resistance. Interests include soil resistomes, microbial and resistance-gene persistence, and the ecology and genomics of Clostridioides difficile.
Combining agricultural field systems with environmental microbiology and genomic analysis creates opportunities for complementary partnerships across agriculture, environment and health.
